Canine Profiling (Genotyping) is used to establish a secure, permanent ID of each individual dog.  All of our foundation broodstock have had their DNA profiled and recorded.

DNA profiles can be used to positively identify and link a pup or dog to their heritage - All our pups can be linked to our bloodlines.

In addition, our dogs are being screened for dozens of inherent, genetic disease markers.  This is a very new test that is able to tell us if our dogs are carriers of a condition.

Our AKC broodstock have completed or are in the process of completing the following genetic & general health screenings, clearances and/or certifications: Any future puppies or dogs that will be eligible for our breeding program must also pass all the required tests and certifications.

DNA Profiled  (DNA "fingerprints" provide tamper-proof identification of a dog, because its unique DNA profile never changes.)

We have also participated in the Canine Genetic Analysis Project   (Disease marker study)  We are now in the process of submitting their DNA to be screened for 28 inherited, genetic diseases.

We are also part of the University of So. California at Davis research study for canine markers.

And we are part of the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine on dog genetics research to see if there is any relation in the size of the dog to the potential to get cancer in later years.
