Welcome to Canine Academy: Professional Canine Training 803-270-5906
Founder: Mr. Robert Holappa and his Belgian Malinois, Reece.
Mr. Holappa has trained under the best professional canine trainers in the United States, and graduated with honors first in all his classes from the Tom Rose School in Missouri. He has specialized in Obedience, all levels from AKC to Protection, to Schutzhund II, Protection dog training, and Narcotics and Tracking.
Our mission is to provide service to those wishing to acquire an obedience trained or a protection trained canine for home, family, estate or business protection. New owners must be willing to learn and demonstrate proper handling techniques after a detailed, handling training period. Robert will make the transition a smooth experience for you and your family to be able to learn the words, motions and voice inflections in order to continue the training he has instilled.
Because you invest your Heart in your puppy...
Your peace of mind with your family is our priority.
We can address any client's problem behavior in their dogs in regards to behavior assessment, modification of all types and advise the owner on what action is appropriate to follow.
We provide training for basic and advanced obedience on an individual basis or small group sessions as the circumstance requires. We are also available for private sessions in your home or business to tailor the desired behaviors to your personal family situation or business environment.
Professional dog trainingis truly an art and a science all in one. Every dog and owner differs from the next. We offer a variety of sessions, and/or intensivetrainingprograms, specifically designed to meet each of our client's and their companion's specific needs. We are known for the "personal touch" we give. That touch drives our clients to recommend us over and over again. For this, we are truly grateful. For a consult or to make a reservation please call or email: Robert at 803-270-5906 or at kaizo726@yahoo.com
We also educate the public in order to accelerate responsible pet ownership. Education is an important element of our business: how a dog learns, why a dog learns, what a dog learns, etc.
We provide solutions and clinics for pet training and problem solving of undesirable behaviors to become desired behaviors.
We provide seminars and demonstrations upon request for charities, SPCA, Police and Law enforcement, Veterinarians, etc.
The competitive advantage we hold is the standard of quality over quantity. We train using only proven methods of 'bomb proofing' techniques that are time-tested and proven techniques which many instructors have not advanced in higher levels to attain.
Our company's objective is to breed quality canines of sound mind and body, for the purpose of safe and reliable home and family protection. The commanding presence of a gentle giant speaks volumes without them uttering a single sound.
We have specific training experience with Belgian Malinois, Golden Retrievers, German Shephards, Dobermans, Rottweillers, Labrador Retrievers, Boxers, Jack Russells, Norfolk Terriers, mixed breeds and various others.
Rob is extremely skilled and patient with his dog and puppy training classes. The Aiken/Augusta and CSRA area is fortunate to have his talents available to families locally. He is also available to travel to your home, state, or country worldwide to evaluate and train your companion animal.
Mr. Holappa's training services have been requested by the ASPCA Board of Directors for Aiken County. He will be training their staff as well as evaluating the dogs for behaviors that can be addressed and help make them become more adoptable.
Mr. Holappa is willing to talk to any prospective families. You can reach him at 803-270-5906.

"ChildAdvocacyCenter plans to auction off puppy
as fundraiser"
By KAREN DAILY Staff writer 4/22/08 12:18 a.m. The faces of the Child Advocacy Center are undoubtedly the young victims of abuse, but grabbing a little attention at the moment is a puppy being auctioned off at the advocacy center's upcoming charity fundraiser. The 7-week-old purebred yellow Labrador retriever can be adopted at Saturday's Blue Jeans & Black Ties barbecue, catfish fry and auction. Along with the puppy, a canine trainer has offered his services for the family receiving the new pet. The trainer, Robert Holappa, who works with the Aiken SPCA and trains dogs locally, will first interview the family to ensure it's a good fit. Then, Holappa said, he is willing to spend two weeks training the lab, adding that they make wonderful pets. The dog was donated by an Aiken resident who wanted to remain anonymous. She would only say that she had many Labrador Retrievers and wanted to see a family enjoy the beloved breed as much as she has. Adding that the money will go to a "good cause," the resident said she was glad to be part of a worthy cause. Each year the ChildAdvocacyCenter of Aiken County sheds added light on a problem "no one wants to talk about," in an effort to help raise money for the outreach center, said Anne Laver, the center's program coordinator. Hesitant to ask for funds, she explained that the advocacy center assists with treating children when there are allegations of physical or sexual abuse. When the ChildAdvocacyCenter formed in Aiken and the interdisciplinary team began treating children in one center, they began helping in a holistic way, Laver explained. "When people see the Child Advocacy Center, I want them to know that is the place where we are trying to work through these issues - what can we do to help these children," Laver said. Without donations, the center couldn't function, she added. The purebred is expected to be a big draw. In addition to the puppy, trips have also been donated and an Italian dinner cooked by three chefs tops the list. A silent auction is also slated for Saturday evening. The event will take place at HighfieldsEventCenter at 6:30 p.m. All proceeds go to the center. Tickets are $45 a person and are available at Aiken Drug, the Artists' Parlor, Tea Garden Gifts, Floyd & Green, Material Things and the USCAEtherredgeCenter or by calling 641-6777. Other donations can be sent to the center at P.O. Box 1763, Aiken, S.C.29802. Contact Karen Daily at kdaily@aikenstandard.com.
